Sailing Under the Blue Angels

We took a spontaneous trip down to Richmond and sailed out to watch the Blue Angels perform above the Bay, the climax of Fleet Week.
Here's Ellie on the tiller, sucker in cheek. The wind was warm (mostly), and the Bay was nice (till it got choppy), and we had just our family, so I took the opportunity teach Emily how to raise the sail and Ellie how to steer. Jen, as evidenced by the icy stare below, wasn't too interested in learning new skills aboard.
