Off to Ft. Sumter

Well, this was the impetus for the whole trip: the 150th
anniversary of the firing on Fort Sumter got me thinking,
we oughta head back out there and see what's going on for
the Civil War Sesquicentennial.
We stopped first in town, to see this replica of a Confederate
submarine, where the humidity and heat helped Alex & Ellie get
into the combative spirit.
Then we disembarked from the ferry dock and made our way out
to Sumter -- spotting a couple of dolphins in the harbor along
the way. There, we saw where all the madness boiled over and
began the long, horrible War Between the States, or as it's
sometimes called Down South, "The Recent Unpleasantness."
