$18 Gelato at the Gay Pride parade

I guess we were somewhat distracted by the techno music blaring from the floats in the Gay Pride parade rolling past the Vittorio Emmanuel Monument, and weren't paying attention as the fellow behind the gelato upsold Ellie, one item at a time, until she held the finest Gelato cone available in Europe. Would she like the chocolate-covered cone? Of course. How about candy coated straws? Whipped cream? And a sparkler on top?
Em registered our shock and showed restraint on her order -- which only came to 8 euros.
