Sam and I wanted to meet in Boston to take a professor out to lunch, talk about doing some work together. Looking over our calendars, Sam asked, "How about Friday, April 6?"
Not so good, I said. I'm flying out to Tokyo with the family for a vacation that day.
"Ah, Okay." He paused. "How about Thursday the fifth?"
