Finally got Covid ... 48 hours before we were supposed to fly off to Florence.
Everyone was a good sport about changing our reservations -- the airline, the hotel in Rome, the AirBnB in Florence. No one wants you coming when you're testing positive.
And I think October was probably a better time to go anyway.
Our cases were mild, and so we busied ourselves that week with compensatory adventures: the Getty, Eataly, Solvang, Malibu, and a Duffy cruise with Nicole from Dallas.
