Caviar at Pravda

Soho, NYC
April 1, 2002

We were waiting to hop onto a northbound bus on Lexington when Jen spotted a small red sign, PRAVDA, next to some stairs leading down to a basement. Inside, beyond a heavy, red velvet curtain, a beautiful place with low vaulted ceilings and wall-mounted lights with cyrillic type on them. Em keeps telling us that she likes fish eggs, and we thought this was a better bet than a bait shop for her to explore that passion. Drinks and appetizers came to $106, but it was cheaper than flying to Eastern Europe.
