For all my worries about the embarrassment of being forced to have fun, it turned out there was little we didn't try ... and enjoy. We turned out for the Austin Powers dance lesson, and won first place in the Trivia Contest. And wherever karaoke was happening, we were there in numbers, whether it was 10-year-old Emily belting out Joan Osborne's "One of Us," or me going back to "Kansas City" with a cocktail in hand, or Jerry & Danny confusing the crowd with an uncle-nephew rendition of Sonny & Cher's "I got you, babe."
