We had recently been lamenting the demise of authentic ice cream parlors, ones that use real fudge and not just chocolate sauce in their hot fudge sundaes. It's not up there with peak oil or global warming, but still, it's a sad trend. Luckily, Sue & Dan knew of Vic's and took us out to this classic joint off Land Park in Sacramento where Dan (at 18) had his first banana split.
