I think NYU ran a close second to Emerson.
We liked being shown around, and I think we both
thrilled at the idea that Ellie could live here,
in The Center of the World for four years.
We were a tad disappointed that the (little-known)
mascot for NYU is, apparently, a bobcat when by all rights
it should be The Mighty Pigeon. Had she chosen to go to NYU,
a campaign to recognize pidge as the unofficial mascot would
have been part of her program.
We shot the acceptance picture, in NYU shirt and in front
of a gleaming Washington Square Arch -- just in case.
Then we made our way down to Trinity Church, to pay our
respects to Alexander and Eliza (and snag the last
Alexander Hamilton plush that Trinity had on hand!).
