Indians (note to Mormons: substitute "wandering tribes of Israel" here) lived here once, in a hilltop town, from around 900-1400 A.D. The beautiful copper fields came much later, the by-product (environmentalists, substitute the term "pollution" here) of an old copper mining operation during the last century.
