Vigeland Sculptures

Are we allowed to climb on the Vigeland sculptures? Imitation is irresistable, as these pics show, but what about actual ascent? We spent the first few minutes shooing Em & Ellie -- pictured here with new friends from the cruise, Emma Jane, Samantha & Jessica -- off the art, but we soon decided that it seemed pointless to try to keep them off when the whole point of the garden seemed to get people to engage with these dozens of sculptures depicting the ages and stages of life and love. Vigeland spent 19 years (1924-43) making them in a park in Oslo.
