Have to say, I was surprised by the percentage (and the amount!) of stuff in the gift shop that was about King Kong. I trust the curators to know what sells. But it's almost as if this grand old American icon didn't have a life outside those movies.
And I'm not saying that just because they focused on the 1933 original and the 2005 remake, omitting the 1976 version where I was in a crowd scene. (But maybe that's a little of it.)
And nothing about Elf?
I guess this is the third view I've seen, in my visits, looking downtown: one with the World Trade towers, one without them, and now with the Freedom Tower.
